I was born in Città di Castello in the year tot, month and day tot on a Friday, tradition has it that on that day witches and fools are born, the daughter of a tolerant couple that left me daubing the walls of the house.
I live in Perugia since many years and in 1980 I began to experiment with materials, media and techniques to focus what would become my personal research based on different aspects of aggressiveness.
Since 2005, thanks to the photographic medium, I have developed a new code of communication by reinterpreting the portrait in a pop-art key and by transferring it in everyday objects, this new aspect of my work emphasizes the contradictions and the hypocrisy of the models imposed by the education and the contemporary society.
The paper, the pure pigments, the embroidery and recently the papier mâché, with which I realize small wearable sculptures, are the essential elements for my work.
Countless experiences outside the national borders, the Netherlands, where I was present with solo and group exhibitions, in Amsterdam, Gouda, Leiden and Alphen aan den Rjin, where I have represented Italy at Ambachts School, Spain, Austria, England, the USA, Japan, where I spent three months in an artists program in a residence, who gave me the opportunity to contribute to my research, and China, invited to exhibit at the NAMOC and Beijing to the GUANDOG ART MUSEUM of Canton in a project by Philippe Daverio and edited by Sabrina Raffaghell and in 2011 the participation in the 54th Venice Biennale.
